But why the name ‘Scandal Point’ has been given is a mystery. The name is given from the disorder caused by supposed departure of British lady with Indian Maharaja. Then the Maharaja of Patiala had run away with the daughter of British Viceroy from this point. Because of this British authority expelled the Maharaja from entering into the Shimla and hence the name given as ‘Scandal Point’. Maharaja of Patiala then made another town at Chail near Shimla.

The most noticeable feature of this place is a statue of Indian freedom fighter ‘Lal Lajpat Rai’. This is a popular spot for all age grouped peoples. Bharmaur – Dalhousie Tourists Attraction

Dalhousie is a stunninghill station in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Name of the city is derived from the named of British Governor General Lord Dalhousie in 19thcentury. Dalhousie is popular for its natural beauty and has variety of old architecture buildings. Vegetation includes pines, deodars, oaks and flowering rhododendrons in Dalhousie. Bharmaur means the land of legendary Gaddies is about 65 km from Chamba. In 6th century it was known as Brahmour.  Bharmaur is famous for some very old history temples. All these temples stands on a level area call as Chaurasi after the 84 Siddhas who are believed to have meditated in Bharmaur 1000 years ago. These Siddhas call from Kurukshetra and visited Manimahesh. Lakshna Devi and Ganesh are the oldest temples in Bharmaur. With gable roof and rubble masonry these temples are made in hill style.  The outer and inner façade, circum ambulatory path of this sanctum are beautifully carved. Manimahesh is the tallest temple in this area which is built in Shikhara style architecture. Brass bull stands in front of temple is a major attraction.

Nar Singh is another temple in Shikhara style. It contains brass image is Narsingh.  As per legend Lord Vishnu in his Nar Singh avtar has been cast vividly. In the corner of temple there is a small water source called Ardh Ganda. Many people come here to take a bath in this water so that all their crimes are vanishes.Its creation by Rani Tribhuvana – rekha is mentioned in a copper plate writing of Yugakara, son of Sahilla and may, therefore be placed in the 10th or 11th century. Country around the Bharmaur is regarded as belonging to Shiva and is also called Shiv-Bhumi. There is a Bharmani Devi temple just about 4 km above Chaurasi temples.

Chail Wildlife Sanctuary – Shimla

This park is spread in an area of 110 square km. Chail wildlife sanctuary was identified in 1976 and was declared as a protected area under government consideration. In 1988 Chir Pleasant breeding and rehabilitation program has been launched.

As per history Chail wildlife sanctuary once served as the hunting ground of Maharaja of Patiala Bhupinder Singh. He was founded in this hill station after banished from entering Shimla following his elopement with daughter of Lord Kitchener of British Indian Army Commander.
